Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium grant is allocated to schools from the Department for Education (DfE) to help pupils from the most deprived backgrounds achieve their full potential.
These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals (FSM) and those looked after by the Local Authority. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and to raise attainment. A link to the DfE page, containing further information about the rationale behind the Pupil Premium, can be found here.
If you think your child might be eligible, please follow the link below to apply on the Merton website, or print and complete the application form below and return it to the school office. Printed copies of the form are also available from the school office.

It is for each school to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, as it is assumed each is best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at the School. However, to ensure proper accountability, schools are required to report on:
- the amount of funding received;
- how this is being used;
- the impact of any work done.
